Zakat (Muslim Charity)

Every year, from home and abroad, compassionate donors entrust their Zakat to Aurobindo Shishu Hospital, enabling us to provide life-saving care to children and mothers from impoverished families across greater Dinajpur and Northern Bangladesh. This sacred fund has helped hundreds of destitute patients annually, who would otherwise be unable to afford essential medical treatment for their children or maternity services.

Families must apply for financial assistance before discharge, presenting their situation to our dedicated committee, which carefully evaluates each case to ensure support reaches those most in need.

The hospital maintains a strong and transparent policy and process to scrutinize and approve all disbursements from this fund. This fund is part of our annual audit, and a list of beneficiaries’ names is published to maintain accountability.

The names of individual Zakat donors are kept confidential, and strict Sharia rules are followed in the distribution and use of funds. The entire amount is spent within the same year to serve those in urgent need.

We are building on our experiences and practices since 1987 with this fund and continue to expand its reach to serve more vulnerable children and mothers in our region. Our commitment is to ensure that no child is denied medical care due to their family’s financial situation.

Poor Fund

Beyond Zakat, our Poor Fund provides critical support to families facing financial hardship, who needs immediate medical assistance for their children. Funded through generous donations from individuals, charitable organizations, and community members, this fund bridges the gap for families who fall outside Zakat eligibility but cannot afford treatment.

Each case is carefully reviewed by our committee to ensure support reaches those genuinely in need. Assistance ranges from partial fee waivers to full coverage of hospital costs, depending on the family’s circumstances and the nature of treatment required.

This fund is audited annually, and beneficiary records are maintained with complete transparency.

We invite you to contribute to this fund and help us ensure that every child and mother receives the medical care they deserve, regardless of their family’s economic situation.

Development Fund

To continue serving the growing need of Northern Bangladesh’s children and mothers, Aurobindo Shishu Hospital relies on our Development Fund to expand and modernize our facilities.

Your contributions help us purchase essential medical equipment, upgrade our NICU and operation theaters, train our medical staff, and expand our services to reach more communities.

Since 1987, we have grown from a small clinic to a comprehensive children and mother’s hospital, serving 32 upazilas across 4 districts. This growth has been possible only through the generosity of donors who share our vision of accessible, quality healthcare for all.

Every contribution to our Development Fund is an investment in the future health of our region’s children. This fund is audited annually, and donors receive regular updates on how their contributions are being utilized.

Sponsoring

You can sponsor a Cabin, Bed, OT, NICU, Equipment and so on.

With a fixed amount -cost of building, furnishing and maintaining any of the above requirement and we ensure that you or your loved one’s name is inscribed or named after your name. This donation can be for one time to construct/furnish/equipe and procure. May include maintenance for certain period or your life time and beyond be creating an endowment (Waqf) for perpetual charity/Sadaka e Jaria beyond your life time.
