Aurobindo Shishu Hospital

Providing Compassionate Health Care Services in Greater Dinajpur since 1987

Providing Compassionate and Affordable Health Care Services Since 1987

The hospital is named after Rishi Aurobindo, a great philanthropist born in 1872 in Kolkata who died in Pondicherry in 1950. His legacy of serving the poor was carried forward by establishing this non-profit hospital on land donated by the trustees of his estate.

On the given land, a group of 27 generous philanthropists of Dinajpur town came together to establish a not-for-profit children’s hospital in 1987, primarily to serve the underserved.

Today, it has become a leading children’s and maternity hospital providing specialized, compassionate, affordable services. It has 170 beds that include cabins, general beds, and neonatal intensive care units (NICU); operation theaters; a pharmacy; in-house training facilities; mother care and ambulance service.
